History of Cars

  • In 1335, the first vehicle was invented by Vaturio and it was a windmill gear.
  • The first vehicles to move by its own power was designed by Nicholas Joseph Cugnot and constructed by M. Berzin in 1769.
  • In 1801, Richard Trevithick built a road carriage by steam.
  • Ányos Jedlik designed a small-scale model car powered by an electric motor.
  • In 1879,Daimler and Benz invented gasoline-powered vehicles.







  • The 1930’s was a very special decade for motoring in America. Despite starting out in the Great Depression, it was a time of massive improvements in automotive Engineering, quality of roads, and most of all a huge leap forward in style.
  • In the 1930’s Ford came out.
